The Oriental Pearl TV tower sits on the bank of Lujiazhu, Shanghai, across the bund. Designed by the Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co. Ltd, the tower is the third highest of the world and highest of Asia. Opposite the bund, the tower has become one of landmarks of Shanghai. The higher levels of the tower contain boutique shops, shopping malls, restaurants and a sight-seeing floor, where the view of the whole bund could be seen.There is also a 20-room hotel called the Space Hotel between the two large spheres.It is classified as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.
