Qutang Gorge is 8kilometers long and it is the shortest and the most spectacular of China’s Three Gorges. Stiff cliffs rise up on either sides and high and cut-like cliff stands majestically and perfectly. The Yangtze River flows rushly because it is narrow.   The natural scenery of Qutang Gorge is not only spectacular but also beautiful. There are red rocks which have been oxidized and silver rocks in the gorge. There are varieties of mountains and rocks like “rhinoceros look at the moon” and “Down Condole Monk”.   Qutang Gorge also has a long history. A poetic wrote a poem to leave a rhesis and “Baidicheng” is well-known for it. In the three kingdom period, “liubeituogu” took place in Yong’an Palace. They are surprising.   Qutang Gorge has “Daxi cultural relics” and archaeologists dug many treasures and jewelry here. It is a good choice for tourists who like natural scenery and cultural relics.
