The cave owns splendid stalagmites, including the famous “Forest”, “Dragon Tower”, “Crystal Palace” and “Flower and Fruit Mountain”. At some spots, such as the Crystal Palace or Flower and Fruit Mountain, special photography is offered at 20 yuan for one picture. (They use special equipment to provide enough illumination.) Best time to visit Ludi Cave
Because each season is as warm as spring, Guilin is a perfect place for travelling all the year round. Moreover, Luyan Cave has its own natural temperature-control system. The sun’s illumination is the main factor which effects the temperature’s change. However, located in the depth of mountains, the cave nearly is not affected by the frequent changeable climate outside. It resembles a vacuum flask whose temperature is always close to local average temperature of many years. In recent years, Guilin’s average temperature is 19℃. So the climate inside the cave is fairly mild in winter and rather cool in summer.
