Hongcun is an ancient village located in Qian Town, southern part of Anhui Province. It was initially built at 11-12 AD and preserves its old and traditional culture and life style until now. Hongcun is famous for its harmonious relation between local resident and nature. Landscape there is picturesque and peaceful, as well as been listed as a World Heritage Site. Hongcun is considered as a cultural site as well as art value site. Architecture style is Ming and Qing dynasty folk house with a complete river system. The carvings of the approximately 150 residences dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties are said to be among the best of their kind in China.
