Yak meadow is located at the north end of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang, it is an important part of this scenic area. There are Yi hamlet and Zang hamlet and Yak meadow is a typical meadow pasture. The alp and the snowfield are interwoven with the Heishui River, and accompanied by the primeval forest. Yak meadow is picturesque all the year round, thus it is a popular tourist resort for sightseeing and leisure vocation.  Sanduo Festival (Sabduo is the God of Naxi minority), which falls on 8th day of the second month of the lunar calendar, is the biggest local traditional festival. During this festival, people play the folk instrument, sing and dance everywhere. In addition, they also go for picnic with the hotpot. Zhuanshan Festival, which is on the 25th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, is the local festival of Mosuo minority. People wear the most magnificent national costume, worship the Goodness, sing and dance, go shooting and meet Axia (means lover used by Mosuo male) to celebrate the festival.   The barley wine, buttered tea and roast yak meat can be enjoyed in the small shops in the resort. They do taste very nice.
