Sacred Way is a special kind of road in Chinese emperors’ tomb. It is the way to mausoleum; there always have some spirit beast sculpture along the road. Sacred Way in the Ming dynasty Tombs is famous tourist attraction in Beijing. The Sacred Way inside Ming Tomb is lined with 18 pairs of stone human figures and animals. These include four each of three types of officials: civil, military and meritorious officials, symbolizing those who assist the emperor in the administration of the state, plus four each of six iypes of animals: lion, griffin, camel, elephant, unicorn and horse. Others famous attractions include the biggest dolmen in China, tablets pavilions and “Lingxing Gate”. Dolmen is decorated with lively pattern relief, after hundreds of years, tourists could still see the paint color and the detail of animals pattern.
