During the long cold winter months in northern part of China, snow carvings, ice lanterns and snow recreations make Harbin one of China's most popular winter destinations, presenting the culture and attraction of ice and snow to the public. Harbin Ice Festival provides the visitors each year a whole new world of ice and snow (once the theme “Russia”). The park can be divided into seven parts. Visitors can find a variety of ice and snow sculptures. Their inspiration is usually derived from traditional Chinese legends or western fairy tales. Now during the festival, many sports are also popular, including ice-skating, sledding, score and so on. Except for the sports, tourists also can take photos with lovely white foxes. Weddings, parties and other entertainments are now very much a feature of this ice world.
