The core feature of the national park is the granite stone forest. It is a typical landform of the Indo-China movement period. Different from the stone forest in Yunnan province, the granite stone forest is mainly clusters of grotesque-shaped boulders. The park, with its temperature in summer ranging from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, is an ideal summer resort. It is at the core area of Heilongjiang and Lesser Hinggan Mountain tourist regions.
