Day 01Yichang

Destinations: Arrival in Yichang

Activities: Pick-up from Yangtze River dock or airport and transfer to hotel. Service starts from your arrival at the airport/dock. International/Domestic flight/train arrangement is on your own. Visit Chinese Sturgeon Museum and Sanyou Cave. The Chinese Sturgeon Museum is situated on the islet in Xiaoxita in Yichang. Built in 1982, the Chinese Sturgeon Museum is part of the Chinese Sturgeon Institution of China which is using artificial breeding techniques to try to preserve this endangered species. Sanyou Cave also known as Three Travelers’ Cave is in the cliffs of the northern Peak of Xiling Mountain. Three poets visited the cave and wrote poems in memory of their visit. The cave offers possible the best cave scenery in the Three Gorges area.

Sturgeon is ancestor of all the fish today, haha, so funny. Anyway I recommend this tour, especially the sturgeon museum. Even they don’t look like as cute as pandas, they are rare and old enough compare to human beings.
