Day 01Shanghai

Arriving into Shanghai, your visa-free period times from 00:00 the day following your arrival.

After breakfast, visit the new developed zone in Pudong - Lujiazui, which teems with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building and Bank of China Tower. Taking the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower, you will have a spectacular view of the whole city.
After lunch, move on to the Bund, one of the most noted waterfront and architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund is lined with about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. Standing on the Bund, you will have a spine-tingling view of the Pudong Skyline.
Late afternoon, take a stroll along the former French Concession area for a glimpse of Shanghai in early 1900s.

Day 03Shanghai, Huangshan

Destinations: Shanghai-Huangshan

Activities:

Morning high speed train ride to Yellow Mountain. Pick up on arrival, transfer to check in hotel. Afternoon visit to the old town of city, evening dinner in local cuisine style.

 

If you join in the Jan 26th departure, this day (day2) is the traditional Chinese New Year’s Eve, a most important family gathering time to celebrate the end of a year and welcome a new year’s dawn. You will be invited to join in our celebration.

Day 04Huangshan

Destinations: Yellow Mountain

Activities:

Today is the 1st day of the traditional Chinese New Year --- Snake Year. Chinese have the tradition of hiking to higher places to begin with a good outlook for a fresh year to come. Thus, there is no better day for us to hike the Yellow Mountain, the most beautiful one in China.
We will stay overnight at a hotel atop the mountain with dinner included.

Day 05Huangshan, Suzhou

Destinations: Yellow Mountain-Suzhou

Activities:

Get up early today for the must-see sunrise on top of the mountain.
After breakfast, head down mountain and drive to visit the ancient Hongcun Village. Hongcun Village is located at the foot of southwest Yellow Mountain, only 11km away from Yi Town. It is a unique, buffalo-shaped ancient village, added to the list of the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in late 2000. Hongcun Village is a typical Huizhou dwellings, one of the vernacular dwellings in China, which are adapted to the characters of hills and waters there.
 
After visiting Hongcun Village, you’ll be transferred to She Old Town. Shexian (She County) is about 27km away in the northeast of Huangshan City. It is famous for its rich culture and long history. It is listed as one of the four best preserved ancient towns in China, along with Pingyao in Shanxi, Lijiang in Yunnan and Longzhong in Sichuan Province.

Late this afternoon, we will ride high speed train to Suzhou, the silk city of China. Check in hotel upon arrival.

Day 06Suzhou

Destinations: Suzhou

Activities:

Suzhou Museum (Monday closed). Suzhou Museum is a museum specialized in ancient Chinese arts - paintings, calligraphy and handmade crafts. Then move on to theHumble Administrator's Garden. The Humble Administrator’s Garden is one of the four most famous private gardens in Suzhou, crowned as the World Cultural Heritage Site along with other classical gardens of Suzhou.

Then have a nice walk along Pingjiang Road. This 800-year old street is the best preserved ancient “water lane” (in contrast with “water town”) in Suzhou. The 1600-meter cobblestone path runs alongside with a canal flanked by old white-washed local houses, also with weeping willows dipping their elegant branches in the water, cute little bridges crossing and connecting.

Day 07Suzhou, Beijing

Destinations: Suzhou-Beijing

Activities:

Morning high speed train to Beijing, pick up on arrival. 
After check in, visit Jingshan Parkto have a bird’s eye view of this magnificent complex of Forbidden City. Jingshan Park is full of community activities, especially on Sundays. Visit the place where the last Ming Dynasty Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself.
Coming down from the hill, hang around with tour guide in Hutongs - the narrow alleys in old neighborhood of Beijing and visit a local family there.

Day 08Beijing

Destinations: Beijing

Activities:

Pick up from your hotel in early morning and then pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven (1.5 hours), where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvests. It is located in the southern part of Beijing, and has been one of the most sacred places for the whole country for more than five centuries. It was used as a complex of sacrificial buildings for Ming and Qing Emperors. 

After lunch, continue on to visit the Summer Palace (2 hours), one of the China's largest imperial gardens. The Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for Emperors of Qing Dynasty. Its predecessor was the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyiyuan) which was constructed in 1750. Burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860, it was rebuilt in 1886.  
Evening is specialized with Peking Duck Farewell Dinner.

Day 09Beijing

Destinations: Beijing

Activities:

After breakfast at your hotel, have an excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall (2 hours hiking). The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is located in Huairou district, about 80 km north from downtown Beijing. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling Great Wall with picturesque views. Mutianyu Great Wall once worked as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It is a green section of the wall in Beijing with plants covering 90 percent of its land.

Day 10Beijing

Destinations: Beijing

Activities:

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and visit the Tian’anmen Square (40minutes), the largest city central square of its kind in the world. The Tian’anmen Square is the heart and symbol of China. The square can accommodate one million people simultaneously for grand national celebrations or gatherings.

Then proceed to the Forbidden City (2 hours), also known as the Imperial Palace Museum. The Forbidden City was the seat of the Imperial power for over 500 years, and is now a major tourist attraction in China. After lunch, continue on to visit a local market for fun shopping before returning home

Tonight, farewell dinner with special hotpot set meal by hotel will be a memorable end to your trip.

Day 11Beijing

Destinations: Depart from Beijing

Activities:

Before 24:00 p.m., depart Beijing for a third country or extend your trip to Hong Kong special administrative region (HK SAR).
