Since 1st Jan, passengers can enjoy the smooth and fast free wireless service through terminal equipments in the terminal building of Qingdao Airport. They can surf the web, run email and chat anytime, and spend a easy waiting time.
It is introduced by the staff of Qingdao Airport that passengers who are in terminal area can use cell phones, tablet computers, which are able to access wireless internet, to search and connect the ”AIRPORT-FREE-WIFI”. Once input the phone No. and verify code, you will receive the password by free SMS message, and through which you can log in on the Airport wifi homepage and surf the internet without any telephone lines, network cable or additional charges. At present, the wireless service of Qingdao Airport terminal offers 100 megabytes of data free. The designed internet supports 2000 users simultaneously online. Test results show that the departure hall, arrival hall and waiting areas have been covered by wifi. During the probationary period from 28th Dec to 30th Dec, the largest number of users simultaneously online is 400.
