The Lhasa-Kunming flight of China Eastern Airlines, which has been suspended since October 28, 2009, is due to resume on March 28, according to the booking office of China Eastern Airlines in Lhasa.

The fight is to resume to meet tourists' needs as the tourist season in Tibet is coming near, said a staff of the company.

The airplane takes off at 7:00 every morning from Kunming and arrives at the Gonggar Airport in Lhasa at 10:35 after a short stop in Shangri-La in Yunnan Province. The flight from Lhasa leaves at 11:25 am and reaches Kunming at 3:00 pm after a stopp at Shangri-La.

The airfare is 1,470 yuan (after taxes) and the company will offer cheaper prices for group tickets of more than five passengers.
