"hard to review without actually staying there"
After reserving under my legal name I arrived around 02:00 AM as noted in the reservation. I gave my passport but was told there was no room. Obviously I didn't stay there. The hotel manager's response: an incorrect name was given at time of check-in. I don't see how that's possible since the graveyard employee was holding my passport....I understand if there's confusion regarding family name vs given name. He could have asked though. My suggestion- don't book if you have to arrive in the wee hours of the morning. You might have to find other accommodations. But I have confidence if you arrive during the day the manager (Mr. Yang) will be able to easily sort out how to find a legal name on a passport. The hotel looks like your standard chinese hotel. I'm giving it 3's because I have to provide some sort of rating. The lobby was very clean. Had I stayed there I could have probably given it a better review. But fellow travelers need to know, caveat emptor.
