The Yuyang Hotel in Jixian describes itself as the first four-star hotel in Jixian County. That's not boasting for China, where better hostels often claim to have five stars. You can get various...

Come altri che hanno recensito, sono stato in questo hotel come parte del pacchetto della Great Wall Marathon. Questo hotel ha a stento un senso se contestualizzato nella Cina rurale, perche' in...

I guess you get what you pay for. Stayed here as part of a marathon tour on the Great Wall. The rooms were all poorly serviced (I asked others in same tour). No sanitary tissue, the carpet had not...

Stayed here as part of the Great Wall Marathon package. I was on the 7th floor, no safe, no fridge, no bath. However my friend who was a couple of levels below me (I think on the 4th floor) had a...

...I assume if you are booking this hotel it is part of a package where you don't get a choice or it is a budget oriented trip to the Great Wall? If so, then your expectations should be realistic and...

- "Avoid this hotel"
- I stayed here with my daughter for two nights in May as she was running in the Great Wall Marathon. Don't be deceived by the exterior. The rooms are basic, beds and pillows are hard and the food is poor quality. The food is served buffet style, there is not much of it in the servers and it doesn't seem to be replaced. It is canteen style food. Some of it is revolting - fruit salad covered in mayonnaise is one example. Pasta Night on the evening before the race was a joke. Mainly spaghetti with a cheap tomato sauce and not enough of it for runners who need to stock up on carbs. There was a short time period when food was available and if you weren't quick off the mark then too bad. This was by far the worst - by a long way- of the three hotels we stayed while in China.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a marathon package. It was great. It is a quick walk to the town square and convenient starting point to get to a more remote section of the Great Wall.
