2Itinerary
- Pick up from your hotel in Qingdao, after 2 hours drive to the Weifang city.
- First visit the Weifang Yangjiabu Folkart Village. Annual Broad of Yangjiabu, one of the three most famous Chinese folk paintings in history, began from the end of the Ming Dynasty. It reached the peak of its development during the Qing Dynasty. People usually replace the old Annual Broads with the new ones on the eve of Spring Festival, which is the most important festival in China, in order to give blessings to the family and friends for the following year. The architecture skills such as concise lines and bright colors reflect the distinctive characteristics of people in Weifang.
- After lunch, visit the Weifang Kite Museum. The museum first found in 1984, after the 1st International Kite Festival. Weifang has held the International Kite Festival every year in April and is known as the “International Kite Capital” worldwide.
- Finally, we can also make a tour to a garden, named the Shihu Garden. It is also called Dingjia Garden because it was once the official residence of an important minister in Ming Dynasty and the commander named Dingshanbao changed it into a private garden in late year of Qing Dynasty. Due to its small and exquisite, the flowers and grass, the mountains and water, the constructions and layout are all designed meticulously.
