Q4: What is the travel document for us to travel in China?
A: A valid passport and necessary visas or permits are required for you traveling on our programs. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of yours, though your travel consultant may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon your request. We accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for your failure to obtain appropriate documentation.
Q5: Is there any traveling insurance while Im traveling in China?
A: Travel insurance is indispensable for you while staying and traveling in China and we highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from your country of origin for your full benefits and travel protections. We are not responsible for any injury, loss, damage to persons or property when you stay in the hotels.
We may decline or cancel the hotel reservation if you do not have any travel insurance from your country of origin.
Please consult the licensed and professional insurance company at your country of origin before your departure for China for your own benefits and protection.
Q6: How to complain and claim?
A: If you have a complaint about your arrangements during the trip, you must immediately notify the supplier of the service in question locally. If they are unable to resolve the problem immediately, you should contact us straight away by telephone/fax/email and we will endeavor to assist. If you are still not satisfied on your return home, you must write to our Customer Services within 14 days of returning from your holiday to allow your complaint to be investigated properly. Please write your holiday reference number on your letter, and include your daytime and evening telephone numbers. If you do not give us the opportunity to resolve any problem locally by reporting it to the supplier, then we may not be able to deal positively with any complaint on your return.
Q7: What is the responsibility of Tour Packages?
A: We will arrange for you to receive the services that you choose and that we confirm. These services will be provided either directly by us or through independent suppliers contracted by us. We are responsible for making sure that each part of the tour you book with us is provided to a reasonable standard and as was advertised by us, or as changed and accepted by you. If any part of your tour is not provided as described and this spoils your holiday, we will pay you appropriate compensation (see the "Important note-events beyond our control"). Also, if you buy a local excursion or tour through one of our official representative or branch office, we will pay you appropriate compensation if it is not as advertised in our literature.
We have taken all reasonable care to make sure that all the services which make up the Tour Packages advertised by us are provided by efficient and reputable business. These businesses should follow the local and national laws and regulations of Peoples Republic of China. However, you should be aware that some standards in China are generally lower than in the UK, USA and Canada, EU countries.
The responsibility of China Travel Depot and its affiliated companies are strictly limited. We shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent acts, omissions, or failure to act of any suppliers such as those of surface, air, and water transportation, sightseeing excursions, cruise/hotel accommodations, or of any third party not directly owned or operated by us. By utilizing the travel services of the suppliers, you agree that you will look to such suppliers for any accident, injury, property damage, or personal loss to you or to those traveling with you, and that neither China Travel Depot nor any representative of China Travel Depot shall be liable.
Without limitation, we are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay, or inconvenience in connection with the provision of, or failure to provide, any goods or services occasioned by or resulting frombut not limited toacts of God or force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes of other means of transportation or for the failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time, sanitation problems, lack of medical care, or for any other cause beyond our direct control. We are not responsible for the stolen and lost of your valuable items due to your own negligence.
We are not responsible for your failure to comply with customs regulations.
We reserve the right to substitute hotels of similar quality at any time or to make changes in itinerary of similar quality, flights, or cruise ships, or to cancel the tour prior to departure. If we have cancelled any tour after receiving your full payment, we are liable for a full refund of the money received within 14 days.
If you purchase an airline ticket separately, ensure that you understand well the conditions under which the ticket is issued as we are not responsible for such airline ticket cancellation fees.
We reserve the right to correct promotional or pricing errors at any time, or to increase the program price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, cruise fares, currency fluctuations, park fee increases, taxes, or fuel surcharges before Confirmation Letter is issued.
Please understand that not all museums and attractions are open every day of the year. We reserve the right to vary the sequence of sightseeing and/or to re-route the order of cities if that will enable you to visit all listed excursions. In either case, the itinerary content will be maintained to the extent possible and there are no refunds for any unused or unavailable excursions.
Many of Tour Packages include activities that require care attention. Such activities include boarding and going ashore from boats, climbing hills and entering and exiting tombs and caves etc. You will receive help and advice from our official representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risk. China Travel Depot, its employees and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after its employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.

A: Step 1: search and select tours that meet your demands. You can search the tours by tour type, tour length, tour budget, and key destinations as shown in the web page. You are always welcome to write tour queries to our professional travel consultants if the listed Tour Packages do not suit you well.
Step 2: read carefully the detailed itinerary, tour price to make sure you understand what is include and excluded. We guarantee all Tour Packages are tested and conducted by China Travel Depot before, and we promise no hidden charges. It is advisable to know completely what you will be treated with all services before your departure for Tour Packages. It is better to be safe than sorry!
Step 3: reserve the selected Tour Packages by filling out your personal information such as names as shown in the passport, home address, phone number, credit card information etc. Please note that you must sign up to become Member of China Travel Depot before making any reservation order. We strongly recommend that you should reserve Tour Packages at least 10 days prior to start date of the tour to make sure your reservation is handled properly and your Tour Packages are carried out smoothly. Any reservation within 24 hours prior to start date of the tour should be made by e-mail or phone call.
Step 4: Review your reservation order with information of what you have reserved, total amount for the products and services, payment information, terms and conditions etc.
Step 5: Submit your completed reservation order to China Travel Depot under the situation that you are fully aware of the terms and conditions.

Q10: How can we pay for Tour Packages
A: Before you place a booking all prices we advertise are accurate at the date of published, but we reserve the right to change any of those prices from time to time in accordance with the change of itinerary and services. The Prices can go up or down. You will be able to find and see the updated price of your chosen tours before submitting your booking.
After you receive the confirmation letter, any increase of the tour price will be absorbed by ChinaTravelDepot of supplying your tours resulting from transportation charges (fuel, airport tax, scheduled domestic air fares in China and other transport charges which form part of our contract with the transport provider), currency fluctuations. If any change in our costs would cause a reduction in your tour price, we will not make any refunds.
We will remind you by e-mail about full payment in order to secure your reservation. We strongly recommend you complete the full payment as early as possible so that we can arrange your tours smoothly and nicely.
No Deposit-We do not charge any deposit for reservation, we stock everything for your interests.
Full Payment: Your punctual full payment is strictly required to secure your reservation.
For reservation 10 days or more prior to start date of the tour: Full payment must be completed at least 10 days in advance. Otherwise your reservation will be canceled automatically and informed by e-mail.
For reservation from more than 24 hours to 10 days prior to start date of the tour: Full payment must be completed within 12 hours after your reservation is confirmed. Otherwise your reservation will be canceled automatically and informed by e-mail notice.
For reservation within 24 hours prior to start date of the tour: Full payment must be completed instantly or by the time as specified in the e-mail after your reservation is confirmed. Otherwise your reservation will be canceled automatically and informed by e-mail notice.

There are three other payment solutions if you have to use
***Wire Transfer (bank transfer): subject to bank service charge and it may take at least 14 days to get to your payment back.
***Visa/MasterCard/American Express credit card payment authorization by fax: subject to 4% service charge and it may take at least 14 days to refund to your credit card account.
***Cash can be accepted by either we collect at your address in China or you come to our office in Beijing. P.s. we do not accept personal checks.
Once you send the full payment you should inform us by e-mail about the payment details, which will help us to check the payment due and secure your reservation for your benefit and interest. If we do not receive the full payment as we expected or we have reasons to believe that your payment is delayed and fraudulent, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and the cancellation letter will be sent to you by e-mail properly. Should you instruct your credit/debit card company to "charge back" any payment(s) properly due from you in respect of your booking, we will charge you an administrative fee of USD20 per incident and associated costs. We further reserve the right to cancel your booking and/or our office in Canada takes legal action against you for all outstanding payment(s).
Q11: What should I pay attention to when I reserve Tour Packages?
A: Whether you book alone or as a group, we will only deal with the lead booking name in all subsequent correspondence, including changes, amendments and cancellations. You must be over 18 years old and possess the legal capability and authority to book as the lead name and travel on holidays with us. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal details or any other information supplied in respect of yourself and any other persons traveling on the booking and for passing on any information regarding the booking or any changes made in relation hereto, to all persons traveling on such booking, including but not limited to information on schedule changes or copies of booking confirmation.
It is a condition of your booking with us that you and all other members of your party, including infants and children, are adequately insured on holiday.
Any person who is under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult on his or her journey.
We strongly recommend you place your booking as early as possible for your own benefit when we have enough time to deal with the payment, change and cancellation.

Q13: I noted that per your site listed price was $1958 and your reply price is now $2395. Why?
A: The price is vary on different group size basis, and the price that you found is the lowest price for group between 2-9pax, which means if there are 9 persons, the price will be $1958 per person. More travelers will enjoy the better price. To get exact price, you need to select the number of travelers and travel date as shown on the tour page. Hence you are two people traveling together; the price on 2 pax basis is USD2395 per person. For you information, all the tours listed (except Join-in group tour) is on private basis.

Cancellation and Refund

A: If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to chinatours@ChinaTravelDepot.com by e-mail or +86-10-58158855-8827 by fax. The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.

Q16: Why did you cancel the Tour Packages I have booked?
A: We aim to provide your tours as booked. But we reserve the right to cancel your reservation if we have reasons to believe that your payment condition, health conditions may affect us to carry out the tour arrangements. We will remind you automatically and continuously about the payment status for the reserved tours by e-mails or fax. We are not responsible for any inconvenience or loss caused by the cancellation.
If a confirmed and paid reservation is cancelled by China Travel Depot, we will refund full payment received within 14 days.
Please kindly understand that your co-operation for punctual payment will not only protect your reservation and ticket, but help us to serve you and more people efficiently and smoothly.
Q17: Why did you change the Tour Packages I have booked?
A: We hope that we will not have to make any changes to your tour itinerary, but because our tours are planned many months in advance and we sometimes do need to make changes based on the local situation. We reserve the right to modify the itinerary of your tour if air schedule or surface transportation changes, and/or events beyond our control make such alterations necessary.
If you have already booked with confirmation letter from us, we will let you know as soon as possible. We may offer you hotel/flight/sightseeing program alternatives in the same or higher standard if the original service is not available.
The confirmed flight/train timings with other details will be advised by e-mail 14 days before your arrival in China. You will get all air/train ticket from your tour guide or local agent after your arrival in China, which you should check carefully as soon as you receive it.
Important note-events beyond our control
Events beyond our control include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, technical problems with transport including changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type for reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and any other similar events.
