2Itinerary
- Your private English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel around 9am.
- This morning, our tour begins at the Lama Temple, a Buddhist lamasery of the Yellow Hat sect, a sect that's mainly associated with Tibet. Inside the temple, in the center of the Hall of Infinite Happiness, stands a grand statue, an 85-foot-tall Tathagagata (Maitreya) Buddha made from a single Tibetan sandalwood tree.
- Then we will continue to a visit to Hutongs by rickshaw. Through the hutongs' teeming maze of alleys, you will see the old courtyard houses and learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing citizens.
- After a stop for lunch, we will visit the emperor’s retreat, the Summer Palace. Used for eight centuries, the Empress Dowager Cixi had the estate renovated in the 19th century, including the manmade lake we see today.
- During the day, we will stop by the Chinese fresh-water pearl workshop, where you may see how they cultivate pearls and tailor-made your own jewelries.
- End the tour and transfer you to the hotel around 5pm.

- ".."
- I would like to recommend this Beijing Culture Day Tour for its well arranged schedule and passionate and professional guide. Different from the modern Beijing we had encountered before, a more traditional and multicultural China presented in front of us during this trip. It was a visit of culture as well as people. The only problem was that the resorts were a little crowded. So an off-season visit is better than a peak-season one, I think.

- "a happy trip"
- Our first trip in Beijing starts from its culture. Thanks to the fine scheduled arrangement, we had a happy and light visiting to so many places, all of them full of beautiful scenery or rich in culture and history. In a Chinese fresh-water pearl workshop, I learned how a pearl was cultivated and bought tailor-made jewelries for my girl friend. She liked it very much.

- "fantastic"
- In this tour I met with an ancient China teeming with remarkable architectures, fantastic sceneries as well as contemporary people living in a traditional ordinary Beijing way. The religious air surrounding the Lama Temple, the delicate paintings on the roof of the Long Corridor in Summer Palace, and the strong smack of everyday life overflowing in Hutong, all triggered off my desire to write something about it. Later I will weave this experience into my blog to share it with my friends. If possible, I will recommend your tour program to them because I was quite satisfied and thankful for your considerate arrangement.
