Summary:

The Simatai Great Wall is about 120 kilometers northeast of Beijing in Miyun County. The unique feature of this section is dangerous and precipitous. Many parts of the Great Wall here were built on sheer cliffs or on steep mountain slopes. It rises and falls sharply but has every essential structure walls, watch towers and parapets.

Your private English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel around 7:00am.
It takes 3 hours to drive rom Beijing downtown to Simatai Great wall. Simatai Great Wall is known for its amazedness, awesomeness and uniqueness. It is total length of 19km with 35 watchtowers. Simatai Great Wall is the only period of the Ming Dynasty to retain the original appearance of the ancient Great Wall. It is built when Sir Qi Jiguang was the governer. Simatai Great Wall has been a UNESCO identified as 'original Great Wall' in 1987. You will visit the Simatai Great Wall. (Hiking for around 3 hours) The guide will prepare quick lunch snacks for you. You can have it on the top of Great Wall.
After get off the great wall, you will enter the Gubei Water Town. The Gubei Water Town has a thousand years of history. The Gubei Water Town is called North treasure of vacation town. The styple there is simple, elegant and picturesque. You can see rows of houses, quartzite Streets and long alleys. The Town has its own canals with small tributaries. The houses and shops are built by the water. With the fresh air, the blue sky and green water waves, it would be like you are in the landscapeparadise. (Sightseeing for around 1 hour)
Transfer back to Beijing downtown around 3:00PM. You will arrive at hotel around 6:00PM.
