The Dunhuang International Hotel is a 3-star hotel, one of Dunhuang's best "upmarket" hotels. The hotel is located south of the city center, about 6kmd driving from the Singing Sand Mountain.

The hotel has a elegantly decorated lobby and 150 guestrooms, where all the rooms are equipped with IDD/DDD, 24-hour hot water, and air-conditioning.

The hotel has four restaurants that provide various kinds of Chinese cuisine and Western food. As for recreational facilities, there is a gymnasium, billiard, sauna and massage center, KTV (karaoke) and a beauty salon. The hotel also has some of the best business and conference facilities in Dunhuang.

The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel is founded in 1995. Situated against the backdrop of the picturesque Mingsha Sand Dunes. The hotel captures the spirit of the Tang Dynasty with its unique architectural design - the large rooftops and long corridors of the Han and Tang dynasties; the typical enclosed courtyard style design and mud walls of the northwestern part of China; and the replica of the late Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties furniture. All these work together to recapture the flavour of a bygone era with their simplicity and use of natural building materials.
