External Transportation

By Air
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is about 27 kilometers away from the downtown of Hangzhou City, and 15 kilometers from the center of Xiaoshan District. It always takes 30-40 minutes to leave the city center for the airport through the full-closed airport-inclusive road. The airport also offers 26 domestic and international routes, reaching 59 cities both at home and abroad.

By Ship
Boat travel from Hangzhou to Suzhou or Wuxi is available, but is usually available in summer or travel peak times. Travelers should check in advance.
By Train
There are there railway stations in Hangzhou: Hangzhou East, South Railway Stations and Southern City Railway Station.
Visitors usually spend about 10 minutes taking a taxi from the Southern City Station heading towards Xihu Lake, and it’s really very convenient and fast. There are also many bus stations nearby. The South station is a little bit slower compared with the south station, and it usually takes about one hour to go to the city center. The East Station is not available right now because of construction.
By Long-Distance Bus
Hangzhou is the center of highway networks in Zhejiang province, and there are four long-distance bus stations in Hangzhou in the four directions of the city. After arriving, passengers can take the shuttle bus for free to arrive at another long-distance bus stations. Passengers can also find the relevant information about travelling, transferring and one-day tour at the bus stations if they want to go to the surrounding areas and counties.

The charges of city bus in Hangzhou are not expensive at all, ranging from 1-4 CNY. There are electronic boards in almost all the bus stations, showing the specific travelling information and bus lines, which enables the visitors to choose the most appropriate travel lines.
