Xiamen Weather
Xiamen consists of four different locations they are Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island, the coastal region in the north of Jiujiang River and Tong’an District. This city has a sub-tropical climate which is calm but wet averaging around 21℃ all-year round. Four or five typhoons are common in Xiamen every year, which contributes to the heavy rainfall and the strong wind during this time. Winter is milder in comparison to the inland cities. With the full sunshine, the local flora is in full bloom throughout the four seasons, which sinks you into a sea of flowers viewing exquisite colours.
The best time to go:
April, May, October and November are the best time to go if the choice must be made. This is because there arefewer typhoons that strike the land and the temperature is extremely comfortable. Gulangyu Island is one of the must-see tourist sites. You can ride a bicycle on the island ring road and smell the scent of blossoms floating in the air, it is only 500m from Xiamen town and it will definitely be a great enjoyment for all.
