Zhenzhou Transportation
Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, is an important city in Central China. The perfect geographic location has made it a traffic hub with a network of air, railway and highway transportation. Visitors to Zhengzhou have easy access to all kinds of means of transportation.
By air
Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, located in the southeast of Zhengzhou, is among the eight largest aviation hubs in China. The airport has flights that link Zhengzhou and more than forty large and medium-sized cities in China. In addition, there are international flights that are headed for Russia, Singapore, Korea and Japan etc.
When arrived at the airport, you can take an airport shuttle to go to Zhengzhou downtown areas that is about thirty miles away. There are buses that go between the airport and the Civil Aviation Hotel, at 20-minute intervals. Another bus goes at 2-hour intervals, and is headed for Zhengzhou Hotel where you can find the railway station and bus station nearby.
By train
Zhengzhou is called the “heart” of Chinese railway transportation. There are trains that go to most cities in China. What is better, there are bullet trains to some major cities: it takes about five and a half hours to Beijing and nearly seven hours to Shanghai.
By bus (or highway)
Zhengzhou is also a highway hub of China. There are buses that go to cities both outside and within Henan Province.
There are through buses that are headed for Shaolin Temple (the birthplace of Shaolin Martial Arts); there are tourist buses that go to Luoyang (another famous historic city in Henan Province); buses that go to Kaifeng (once the capital of ancient China) depart at 30-minute intervals.
Altogether there are more than two hundred bus lines in Zhengzhou city. It’s very convenient for you to travel by bus in the city.
