            Haikou Transportation

Haikou is the capital of Hainan Province, China's second largest island. With the sea on three sides, Haikou enjoys a long coastline and it has contributed a lot to the excellent marine transportation. Therefore it is extremely convenient for tourists to come here enjoying a good holiday.

Haikou Meilan Airport is located in the Meilan town of Qiongshan City; it is 25 kilometers away from Haikou City. There are domestic and international routes which operate in this airport currently. Airport buses start running every morning at 6:00 until the last flight and the interval time is usually 30 minutes. There are also free rides not far from the entrance of Civil Aviation Hotel in Haixiu Road and these buses are from Southern Airlines. Hainan airline flights provide free bus rides and they are located in the urban areas of the old airport terminal. You can also take Bus NO.41, 21 or a taxi to the city center.
By train
Railways have been built around the island of Hainan and these railways can be divided into the West Circle Railway and East Circle Railway. The existing West Circle Railway is an ordinary railway mainly used for passenger transport and freight; the East Circle Railway is a high-speed railway which operates MU trains. East Circle Railway was first put into use on December 30, 2010 and at the same time West Circle Railway also held its foundation stone laying ceremony the next day, that the West Circle Railway would build the new high-speed trains for passenger in the base of existing ordinary railway to form a high-speed railway framework around the entire island.
Furthermore, the undersea tunnel is being planned too. After the completion of it, the traffic connections between the mainland and Hainan Island will be more convenient!
