We were pleasantly surprised by the room, a standard double room, which is tastefully furnished and has a big balcony overlooking the back of the hotel - a very green view. The Landison is not as big as the web site would suggest but it is at the end of an alley away from the traffic and is walking distance to the Tea Museum and a couple of good restaurants. We only had breakfast (included in room price) at the hotel, which was a mistake because the food in the morning was terrible. However, friends who have been there say they had a wonderful dinner at the same restaurant! A pleasant stay (the hotel was very empty). The staff were polite enough but like many mainland-Chinese run establishments, they are only happy to extend basic, following the rules, type of services.
