The New Asia Hotel is a famous 9-story mansion originally constructed in 1934 as one of the first hotels of its class that was designed and built entirely by the Chinese. It was renovated and upgraded in 2010, and is now a modern 3-star hotel in the Bund area, Shanghai’s famous tree-lined neighborhood of Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, and Renaissance buildings. It is also close to Tiantong metro station and Nanfujing shopping street.
The 333 European-style guestrooms and suites feature high-speed internet access, Satellite TV, air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, tea-making facilities, and other amenities.
The hotel has three restaurants, serving Western, French, Cantonese and Shanghai style dishes. It also offers a post office, beauty salon, currency exchange, ticket office, exercise room, sauna, massage service, night club, billiards, karaoke, and a business center with meeting rooms, fax, printing, photocopy and other services.
