Let the Expo ferry, bus or train take the strain

The Expo Park is too big to walk around in a single day but by taking the bus, ferry or metro, visitors can see the Expo from different angles while saving precious time and energy.

A relaxing way to tour the Expo Park is by taking an air-conditioned cruise on the Huangpu River, taking in panoramic views of the river and the Expo pavilions.

There are six ferry piers serving five routes through the Expo Park including a transfer across the Huangpu River. Three of the routes operate from 9:00 to 23:30; the other two from 10:00 to 22:00.

Expo visitors can take the ferry free of charge. There are 6 boats, each capable of carrying 500 people. Ferries leave every 15 minutes; every 7.5 minutes during peak hours.

Sightseeing buses drop visitors at all the pavilions. There are two sightseeing bus routes through the Pudong Expo zone. Tickets cost 10 yuan per person and the buses operate from 9: 00 to 24:00 each day.

There are also free buses that stop every 200-300 meters. The free buses run from 9:00 to 24:00 on four routes through the Expo.

Visitors can also travel between the Pudong (east side of the Huangpu River) and Puxi (west side) Expo zones by taking the free Metro service on line 13. There are two stations within the Expo Park: Lupu Bridge Station and Expo Station. Line 13 operates from 9:00 to 24:00.
