Tibetan New Year is Tibetan people’s traditional festival. The same as the Tibetan Calendar New Year, the Latse Festival is also understood as a part of Tibetan culture. As an important part of Tibetan festivals, Tibetant Opera is often performed during the Shoton Festival, Tibetan New Year and the Ongkor Festival.

Tibetan May 15 is Lin card section. Tibetan language called "hidden forest ji", meaning world incense day, world a happy day . Shoton Festival stemmed from A. D. the mid-11th century, and was a pure religious activity at that time. The traditional way of starting the Shonton Festival is to show Buddha paintings. The main contents include Tibetan operas and gala parties, as well as wonderful yak racing and horsemanship performance. And people sing and dance to celebrate this festival, which necomes a “Mini Olympic” for the Tibetan people.
