This private day tour includes Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace.

2Itinerary

NOTICE: Due to the close of Forbidden City every Monday, this tour could not be arranged every Monday.
Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at 9AM.
Your first stop is Forbidden City. It is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world.The splendid architecture of the Forbidden City represents the essence and culmination of traditional Chinese architectural accomplishment.
Then, you will have lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Temple of Heaven is a spectacular temple that the Emperors visited during the Ming and Qing dynasties to pray for a good harvest. Because of the Temples beauty, many locals still visit and use the site to exercise. Summer Palace is another breathtaking area that will be seen. Entering into the gates of the Summer Palace is like stepping into another world. The grandeur and beauty of the Palace is overwhelming and is sure to impress anyone.
End the tour and transfer you to the hotel around 5pm.
During today's tour, a visit to culture shop is organized.

Tipping is now considered by many locals to be a part of their normal remuneration. However, this is a matter of personal discretion. You may use following as a reference. Suggested Tipping: for local guide: $8 to $10 per person(guest) per day, for driver: $4 to $5 per person(guest) per day.

Local English-speaking tour guide for transfers and sightseeing program as indicated in each city.
Entrance fees to scenic spots as indicated in the itinerary.
Service charge and government Taxes.

Price Excludes

Domestic airfare or train tickets.
Hotel accommodation.
Entry or exit China international airfare or train tickets.
Personal expenses such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities, etc.
Gratuities to the tour guide, driver and hotel bellboy.
Fees for entry visa to China.
Traveler insurance.
Services not mentioned in the itinerary.

"you must come to Temple of heaven": Among these places of interest in this tour, my favorite one is Temple of Heaven. I like it because it makes me feel serene when I see it. The guide told me that in Ming and Qing Dynasty, the emperors came here to pray for people.

"the tour is a little tense": What I wanna say is that this tour is a little tense and you must take a good rest before start. The Summer Palace is so big that I was totally lost in it, I just followed my guide. But the Summer Palace is really beautiful, beautiful lotus and water.

"I love Beijing": I was deeply touched by Beijing 2008 Olympic Games; I think it can’t be surpassed anytime. I love Beijing, I love its culture, I love its history, I love Beijing dialect, it’s very interesting, it seems that Beijing people are telling jokes when they are talking. Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Tian’anmen Square are all very fascinating, amazing! Next time, I will come by myself, because my Chinese friend told me that there are numerous interesting places in Beijing, like Hutong, and popular bars.

Beijing tours: Hi, I'm interested in two of your tours: BJPD-43 BJPD-81 Are they both 1 day or 1/2 day tours? Do you pick up from the Beijing Friendship Hotel (No.1 Zhongguancun South Main Street, Haidian District, Beijing 100873, China) and is there any extra cost for this? Do they include the admission tickets which you refer to as "entrance fees" or are there other hidden costs? Is the commission-based shopping really only limited to two stops or do you stop at other "shopping places" along the way? Thanks, Rose
