Spring takes parks back to busy timetable in Beijing
Spring takes parks back to busy timetable in Beijing Major parks in Beijing including the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, Beihai Park and the Fragrance Hills Park have adjusted to their busy season schedule from April 1. The parks' opening times are early. For instance, the Summer Palace opens at six thirty in the morning, half an hour ahead and the closing time is set back to 6pm from the original 5pm. In addition to the changes in the timetable, the parks have also raised the price of entrance tickets to the busy season price, generally five or ten yuan higher than those during the off season. With the approach of spring, parks like the Yuyuantan Park and the Beijing Botanical Garden will hold cherry and peach blossom festivals when the flowers come to bloom. |
