Wuyuan is located in northeast of Jiangxi Province. It is known as the most beautiful village in China. The beauty of Wuyuan lies in the harmony of nature and human. The villages are surrounded by terrace fields. The fog around the mountains, antique houses, stone path, arch bridges, and green lake give people a beautiful image of a Chinese ink and wash painting.
Travelling in Wuyuan, there are some things that you can’t miss:
1.       Chat with the elder who has lived in the village for many years. You can smell the fragrance of camphor flowers and sit under the tree to listen to some past stories of the village.
2.       Taking photos in Wuyuan is fabulous because it’s like a paradise for photography lovers. Colors there seemed to have been toned by the hands of God. Picturesque views are everywhere.
3.       Drink the mountain spring of Wuyuan. Spring water in the mountain is not polluted. It’s very clear and sweet.
4.       Buy some Wuyuan green tea as a gift to friends. The fragrance of green tea represents your delight mood in travel.
 
Matters that need attention:
1.       Wuyuan is located in mountain areas, so the temperature difference between morning and night is quite big. Travelers would better bring more clothes. Rain gear is also necessary.
2.       If you are going to live in villager’s house, bring sleeping bags with you.
3.       The best season for shooting Wuyuan should be late March and late September.
4.       The local people in Wuyuan are very kind and simple. You can take photos of them, but if you promised to send them the photos, you’d better keep your promise.
 
The hot spots in Wuyuan include some old villages which carry deep Huizhou culture. A lot of house built in Ming and Qing dynasties are still well preserved. Architecture there is of strong antique style. Walking on the streets will give you a feeling of going back to hundreds of years ago.
