Your tour today in Dunhuang includes the visit to the famous Mogao Grottoes, also being called “ Mogao caves or Caves of thousand pagodas” - a shrine of Buddhist art treasures, 25 km (15.5miles) from downtown Dunhuang on the eastern slope of Singing Sand Dune, at the crossroads of trade as well as religious, cultural and intellectual influences, the 492 cells and cave sanctuaries in Mogao are famous for their statues and wall paintings, spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art.
You will also visit the Great Wall of Han Dynasty and Yumen Gate Pass (Jade Gate Pass) which is a very important military stopover along the silk road. Dinner will be arranged tonight and transfer to the Liuyuan railway station for your overnight train to Turpan.(soft berth train tix is booked, 4 pax sharing one cabin)

Destinations: Ancient City of Jiaohe, Emin Minaret, Karez Well

Arrive Turpan in the morning, meet and transfer to the hotel, breakfast will be arranged inside the hotel and heading for the day tour, then visit the Ancient City of Jiaohe, the old Uyghur villages, you will also visit the Emin Minaret, one of the finest buildings on the Silk Road, and Karez Well - an underground irrigation system.

Visit the legendary Flaming Mountain, Grape Valley and oldest Ancient Town Gaochang , after lunch transfer to Urumqi from Turpan.

The highlight of our visit to Urumqi is an excursion to Heavenly Lake. Only one hour and a half drive from the city, it lies on snow-capped Mount Bogda at almost 2000 meters above sea level. The sapphire-blue lake isset in deep slope of pine forests and meadows of wild flowers where Kazak nomads camp. The views from the cruise boat are breathtaking. After lunch at carefully-selected restaurant, you will drive back to Urumqi. Proceed to an excursion to Erdaoqiao International Grand Bazaar.

Destinations: Apakh Khoja Mausoleum, Sunday Market

Activities:

Fly from Urumqi to Kashagr, Day tour at Kashgar including Visit to Apakh Khoja Mausoleum who is the Sufi leader during the 17th century and claimed himself as a prophet next only the Muhammad. Visit to livestock section of Sunday Market and its main bazaar, wandering around old towns and small lanes of Kashgar behind the big buildings.

Morning sightseeing to China’s first biggest mosque Eidkah and its Handcraft street. You will also visit the Abakhoja Tombs before fly to Urumqi in the afternoon. Lunch will be arranged in Kashgar, and take flight back to Urumqi in the afternoon. Transfer back to the hotel and the rest of the day will be at leisure.
