Day Trip to Ming Village Cuandixia

Cuandixia Village, nestled in the mountains of Mentougou district, is renowned for its well-preserved courtyard houses dating back to Ming and Qing dynasties. There are 70 courtyards arranged along the slope.

The idyllic village offers an excellent chance to study architecture, as well as antique carvings in stone and wood. Also in the neighborhood are two small temples that can be reached by walking up a hill. The view from the top is wonderful.
